We love fall nail art just as much as we love fall makeup, activities and clothes (read: a lot!). In addition to pumpkin and plaid motifs, you can also go for abstract designs in moody hues or fall wardrobe-inspired prints. If you need some inspiration to try on your own or to bring to your next salon appointment, we rounded up the fall nail art looks we’ve favorited on Instagram this season below.

Fall Floral Mani

Fall florals are very much a thing. Case in point? This design by @nailsatnumbereleven. Essie’s fall collection has everything you need to try your hand at the look, including muted yellow, berry purple and khaki green polishes.

Abstract Autumnal Nail Art

Think nude nail polish is boring? Not according to nail artist Elvira Safina who created this cool, abstract look that we’re loving for fall.

Pumpkin Stripe Nail Art

If pumpkin nail art sounds too cutesy and obvious, you clearly haven’t seen a take on the design like this one. Nail artist Abbey Shaw combined the animal print trend with the classic gourd motif and the result is fierce yet festive.

Modern Art Mani

You’ll want to continue wearing this curvy Matisse-inspired design long after the season of pumpkin spice lattes is over.

Cozy in Plaid Nail Art

In the fall, our wardrobe consists of all plaid everything, including our nails.

Fall Rainbow Negative Space Nail Art

There’s really no reason to choose between muted neutrals or rich jewel tones. The combination, as seen on @overglowedit here, is fun, sophisticated and totally season-appropriate.

Smoky Tortoise Shell Nail Art

This smoked amber tortoise shell design has a warm and cozy kind of feel.

Good Witch Nail Art

If the fall season has you feeling witchy, matte black and orange nail art designs like those seen here are sure to help you cast spells.
