Gone are the days when “no-makeup makeup” was code for soft glam or just a hint of mascara paired with mattified skin. It’s been replaced with fresh-faced looks featuring fluffy boy brows and glowy, luminous skin. It’s an easy look to achieve for beauty enthusiasts and newbies alike, which is why we’ve created the ultimate tutorial ahead. Feel free to copy give a shot for your next lowkey makeup day.

STEP 1: Apply a radiance-boosting primer like Maybelline Hydrate & Smooth Primer to lend skin an extra pop of glow before applying your base makeup.

STEP 2: Spot conceal any discoloration using a concealer like Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, and blend it out using a damp beauty sponge, which helps give a skin-like finish.

STEP 3: Apply a light-coverage BB or CC cream (we recommend the IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream) all over and blend with a damp sponge.

STEP 4: If your brows aren’t naturally full, fill in any sparse areas using a precision pencil (our current fave is the Maybelline Eye Studio Brow Precise Micro Brow Pencil) to create hair like strokes.

STEP 5: Brush up brows using a clear brow gel with light hold like IT Cosmetics Brow Power Pomade.

STEP 6: Using a volumizing formula like Lancôme Hypnôse Drama Instant Full Drama Mascara, apply mascara from base to tip — wiggling the brush along the way.

STEP 7: Apply a colorless highlighter like NYX Professional Makeup Dose of Dew to the high points of your face for a little extra glow.

STEP 8:  Sweep a matte blush in a draping motion across your cheeks and up toward your temple with a light hand to create a healthy, flushed effect. For a multi-dimensional look, reach for a palette like Urban Decay Naked Flushed which contains three shades you can mix and match to create a custom look.

STEP 9: Apply a flesh-toned lipstick (we’ll be reaching for Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink in Fighter) or a gloss to finish off the look.
