The IT Cosmetics CC+ Nude Glow Foundation Is Our Editors’ Favorite New Foundation for Summer

ICYMI, the latest addition to the IT Cosmetics CC Cream family, the CC+ Nude Glow Foundation SPF 40+, is here. The formula, which contains mostly skincare ingredients like niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and green tea extract, is the brand’s take on a lightweight, skincare-meets-makeup skin tint. As someone with oily skin, I usually shy away from formulas that impart a glowy finish — I already have enough natural shine as it is. The IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream Matte Foundation is my go-to foundation, so I figured I’d give the glowy formula a fair shot. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved the Nude Glow Foundation. It provided the coverage I like while feeling lightweight on the skin. Plus, the glowy finish didn’t make me look oilier than normal. Between the subtle brightening effect, the SPF sun protection and skin tint-like finish, I can honestly say that this foundation will be part of my makeup routine all spring and summer long. — Caitlyn, Assistant Editor

Glowy foundation isn’t usually my first choice — particularly because my combination skin tends to get oily throughout the day. The thing about this product that I loved is that it was actually able to illuminate my complexion without making it look extra shiny. It’s formulated with niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and green tea extract to help nourish and brighten the skin, but doesn’t allow for excess oil to build up. I usually don’t like to wear foundation because, no matter how lightweight a product claims to be, I can feel it sitting on my face by midday. This is the first foundation I’ve tried in a long time where that hasn’t happened — and I attribute it to the skincare-forward formula. Thanks to hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and green tea extract in the formula, my skin not only feels hydrated throughout the day but also looks naturally radiant. Using a glowy foundation can be tricky for me because my oily skin tends to make my face look greasy by the end of the day. I might have to make an exception for this foundation because of how lightweight it was and the fact that it left me with a beautiful glow that looked like it was coming from within. With the unpredictable spring weather we’ve been experiencing, I’ve found that my skin has been a bit dry in certain areas.
