I’m a glossy girl through and through, so I wasn’t surprised when I fell in love with the L’Oréal Paris Summer Belle Glowing Lip Gloss in Shell We Dance and the shiny, dewy finish it provides. What did surprise me, though, was the texture that felt more like a moisturizing lip balm than a traditional lip gloss. I’m also obsessed with the gloss’ tropical, fruity fragrance that reminds me of middle school — and I mean that in the best way.

When I first twisted the cap off of the L’Oréal Paris Summer Belle Glowing Lip Gloss in Sea You Soon, the sweet, fruity scent immediately transported me back to my pre-teen years — the last time I wore lip gloss on a consistent basis. However, aside from the scent (which I love — let’s be clear), this gloss really has nothing in common with the formulas I wore in early 2000’s. It’s not sticky or gloppy and it doesn’t come off minutes after application. Instead, this gloss feels hydrating and smooth and stays put. Plus, I love that Sea You Soon, a translucent pink shade, enhances my natural lip color.
