Our “Better Together” series highlights surprising ways two products become — you guessed it — even better when you use them together.

We’ve already made it clear that we love glittery looks around the holidays. A festive, bold red glitter lip, glitter eyeliner and sparkly nails top our list of must-try makeup trends to try this season. We’re always scoping out new products that will make our glittery makeup dreams come true, hence our interest in the Internet-famous Lime Crime Diamond Crusher Iridescent Lip Topper. We’re pairing it with one of our favorite Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick shades.

The colors of Lime Crime Diamond Crusher Lip Topper and Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick you choose are ultimately up to you, but for this beauty experiment in particular, we chose to work with the ruby pink shade called Heirloom in the Lime Crime Lip Topper and a bright pink shade of pink called Romantic in Maybelline Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick. When worn alone, each lippie creates a different look. Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink will give you a super pigmented, matte look that won’t come off unless you break out your toughest remover, whereas Lime Crime Diamond Crusher Iridescent Lip Topper will give you bold color — with the effect of what looks like crushed diamonds on your lips.

Together, these products create an even cooler look than they do when worn separately. To get the look, start by applying the SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid lipstick on your lips and wait a minute for it to dry. Then, top it with the Lime Crime Diamond Crusher Lip Topper to enhance your matte lip. Finally, prepare to be stared at in the best possible way.
