Today Carol’s Daughter is launching a new holiday to celebrate Black women and curly hair types. After a recent survey revealed that 82% of Black women feel envious of other people’s curls, the brand wanted to give women a reason to celebrate their own hair in all of its curly glory by announcing the first ever National Curl Crush Day.

Join the celebration by taking a photo of your hair and posting it on social media with the hashtag #CurlCrush and tagging @carolsdaughter as a way to show off your curls and empower other curly hair queens to do the same. This holiday coincides with the launch of new additions to the brand’s popular Coco Crème Curl Collection. Ahead, keep reading to learn more about the exciting launches.

If you’re not familiar, the Coco Crème Curl Collection is a line made to provide curly hair types with extreme moisture. It features a range of nourishing hair masks, styling butters and a sulfate-free shampoo. The most recent products to join the lineup are the Curl Perfecting Water Coco Mist and Curl Shaping Cream Gel. Available for $11.99, the hair mist is an affordable option to style 4C and 4B hair types. It’s formulated with coconut water, mango and papaya to enhance, control and moisturize curls and coils. After every use your hair will feel softer and look bouncier, all with less frizz.

For those looking for more hold, try the Curl Shaping Cream Gel. Similar to a hair gel, it defines the curls and offers a long-lasting hold, but it doesn’t feel stiff or flake throughout the day. Made with coconut oil, coconut milk, mango butter and murumuru butter, it also moisturizes the hair and enhances softness and shine.
