This Monochromatic Burgundy Makeup Look Is Perfect for FallOctober 26, 2020
It’s no secret that we’re obsessed with monochromatic makeup looks. Whether we’re matching our lipstick to our blush or our lipstick and blush to our eyeshadow, we’re all about a unified look. One of our favorite makeup colors of the moment is burgundy. It might seem intimidating to wear the deep color all over, but trust us, the results are gorgeous and couldn’t be more perfect for fall. Here’s how to get the look.
Start by applying a longwear foundation like the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Foundation all over the skin. For a flawless finish, use a flat foundation brush and work outwards from the middle of your face.
Apply a burgundy-toned blush to the cheeks. We like the Lip Bar Fresh Glow Blush + Bronzer in Staycation. Blend well for a natural, flushed finish.
Use the bronzer shade in the Lip Bar compact to warm up the complexion and contour the cheekbones, forehead and jawline.
On your eyes, apply a burgundy shade like the Maybelline New York Color Strike Cream-to-Powder Eyeshadow Pen in Tempt all over the lid and up towards your brow bone.
To brighten up the look, layer a shimmery bronze shadow, like the shade Tiger’s Eye from the Urban Decay Stoned Vibes Eyeshadow Palette, over the lid.
Line your eyes with a black pencil liner like the Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Zero, and apply L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Mascara in Burgundy on your lashes.
For a final touch of burgundy, apply Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge Intimatte Lipstick in Kind of Sexy all over the lips.
