As 2019 comes to a close and we prepare for a new decade (whoa!), we still can’t help but find ourselves looking to the past for some major beauty inspiration. One era we keep coming back to time and time again is the ’70s — face gems, bold bottom lashes, pastel eyeshadow, graphic liner and all. But a true beauty guru always puts a modern twist on a trend. Cast in point: Rebekkah Theenaart’s (@beautybekky) retro glam-inspired cut-crease eyeshadow look.  Ahead, find a step-by-step guide to recreate the full dramatic look at home.       View this post on Instagram           STEP #1: Prep Your EyesCreate a smooth base for the eyeshadow look using the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original. Apply a decent amount of product before blending it in with your fingertips over the entire lid. STEP #2: Conceal Your Entire Eye AreaUsing the Urban Decay Stay Naked Correcting Concealer, cover any dark circles or discoloration you may have. Blend the concealer onto the eyelid and up to the brow bone to create a flat, smooth base for the shadow. Pro tip: To fake the appearance of freckles, you can use an eyeliner or eyebrow pencil to create little dots the product on your face.STEP #3: Eyeshadow TimeWith the Urban Decay Naked Honey Palette, begin blending the shade Drip above your crease and along your eyebrow bone. With the shade Honey, pack on the gold pigment to your crease and above half-way down your eyelid. You want to lay it on nice and heavy to really punch up the color. STEP #4: Create a False Wing Using EyeshadowUsing a thinner eyeshadow brush, apply Drip again along your upper lash line and blend it slightly into the gold shadow above it. Taking a small eyeliner brush, continue the color past the outer corner of your eye to create a fake wing with the shade. STEP #5: Emphasize the Cut CreaseTo really call attention to the cut crease you created in step three, apply the shade Sting with a precision eyeliner brush along the gold shadow line. Take your time to really make the eyeshadow smooth and even, following the natural curve of your eyelid. Add a touch of Sting along your upper lash line as well, before using a fluffy eyeshadow brush to gently blend out the line in your crease — just don’t blend too much. STEP #6: Give Your Lower Lashes Some LoveTaking the eyeshadow shade Drip again, blend the soft brown shade into your lower lash line. Then, using FlyBy, highlight the inner corners of your eyes with the white eyeshadow. STEP #7: EyebrowsNo makeup look is complete without giving your eyebrows a little TLC. With the NYX Professional Makeup Bare With Me Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Brow Setter, brush your brows upward for a natural, full look. STEP #8: Load on the MascaraWith Urban Decay Perversion Mascara, load up the mascara on both your top and bottom lashes to really make them pop. STEP #9: Finish With a Bold LipFinish the look off with a bold lip. BeautyBekky went with the YSL Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stain in 1 Rouge Tatouage, a vibrant pink red lipstick, for a pop of color. Read More:How to Get Beautybekky’s Impressionist Eye Makeup LookFrosted ’90s Makeup Is Back — And Perfect for New Year’s EveMakeup State of the Union: The Six Makeup Trends You’ll See Everywhere In 2020
