Between deciding what to wear, where to go, questioning if the conversation will be good and praying that they look as good in-person as they do in pictures, planning a first date can be stressful. That’s why it’s time to swipe right on this gorgeous soft glam makeup look that’s sure to sweep your date right off their feet and give you one less thing to worry about. Ahead, we’re breaking down exactly how to get this sultry meets subtle look with the help of our good friend and professional makeup artist, Jonet Williamson. So stop panicking and let’s fast forward to the part where you two are planning date number two.  How to Get the Look

STEP 1: Prep Your Face
First, you’re going to want to prep your face by applying the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Primer, which is a radiance-boosting primer that blurs imperfections and secures a flawless foundation application. Follow up with the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation to give your skin that natural lit-from-within glow that’s sure to captivate your partner.

STEP 2: Create Depth in Your Crease
Now moving onto the eyes, Williamson used the NYX Professional Makeup Love Lust Disco Shadow Palette In Livin’ Lavish to create that pretty understated glam. Using the warm brown shade in the bottom left corner, take a shadow brush to diffuse the color into your crease and outer corner of your eyes.

STEP 3: Add the Accent Shade to Your Eyelids
Use the lightest gold shade in that same palette and apply it across the entire lid until it meets the brown crease shade. Williamson recommends wetting the eyeshadow brush before applying the gold color to get a glowy “wet look.”

STEP 4: Intensify the Outer Corners for a Smoky Effect
Next, you’re going to create a smoky-eye effect using the first matte brown shade and the darkest brown shade in the palette. First, Williamson says to take a pencil brush and go in with the dark brown color on the outer corner of your upper and bottom lash line. Then, to avoid any harsh lines, she says to use the light brown shade and fluffy shadow brush to buff out the edges of your dark brown shadow liner.

STEP 5: Finish the Eyes with Brown Eyeliner and Mascara
Finish off the eyes by applying a thin layer of brown eyeliner on your upper lash line. The Maybelline New York Master Precise Skinny Gel Pencil in Sharp Brown is a great option because it offers a precise application. For lashes, feel free to add a pair of light and fluffy falsies or coat your regular lashes in a volumizing mascara, like the L'Oréal Paris Bambi Eye Mascara.

STEP 6: Apply Lip Gloss
Finally, make your lips kissable by applying the Urban Decay Lip Plumper in Cherry. It’s a rosy pink gloss that gives you a fuller-looking pout in seconds.
