Whether you love or hate the concept of Valentine’s Day, you have to admit that it’s a pretty great holiday for makeup. From the red and pink color palette to the heart, rose and kiss print motifs, there’s a lot to work with when creating a fun and festive makeup look. This year, we’re all about incorporating hearts into our makeup look as a way of showing love to ourselves and anyone else who looks our way. Here, we’re rounding up our favorite heart eye, lip and cheek looks on Instagram we’re taking inspiration from.

Made You Blush

Instead of blending in your blush this Valentine’s Day, get full-on festive by painting pink and red hearts on your cheeks like @aa.stasia did here. She used the Suva Beauty Hydra FX Liners to get the look.

Heart Eyes

If you’re all about rhinestone-embellished makeup these days, switch things up with heart-shaped gemstones applied in your crease or around the eyes. Bonus points if you can figure out how to affix them to your falsies like @beautybypeach did.

Queen of Hearts

Once you’ve nailed the winged liner technique, challenge yourself to recreate this heart-filled wing by @aniyah.s. We recommend using a pigmented liquid formula like the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Super Slim Eyeliner.

Sealed With a Kiss

With mask-wearing the norm, your lipsticks may be collecting dust. Put them to good use by creating a lip art look like this one — if only for the ‘gram.

Peace, Love and Eyeliner

Looking for a Valentine’s Day look that’s not so obviously festive? Try this groovy, graphic liner created by @frankiepdarling. It resembles a heart, but could be worn any day of the week.
