Whether Halloween is your favorite time of year or you’re just here for the Disney movies and candy, we can all agree that Halloween nail art is the perfect way to celebrate without going over the top. This week, we tapped Essie nail artist Rita Remark for a spooky manicure that’s also wearable all year round. The key to achieving the look? “Make sure not to use a lot of polish on the brush,” says Remark. “Because the lines are thin and detailed, it's important to have control and not have polish pool into the cuticle area. If you make a line that's too thick, wait for it to dry and then go back in with the detail brush and Licorice to tidy it up.” The Frankenstein-inspired mani is a little nod to the holiday and super easy to DIY at home.

Get the look, ahead:

Step 3: Dip a fine detail brush in Blanc and paint small dashes around the perimeter of your nails so it resembles a stitch.
