I couldn’t wait to try the Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind Instant Perfector 4-in-1 Glow Makeup and thankfully, I was lucky enough to receive a sample from the brand. Glowy, minimalist makeup is my go-to these days, and this skin tint is perfect for that. The formula primes, conceals, highlights and evens skin tone, is highly emollient and has a wet-looking shimmer to it that provides minimal coverage but maximum glow.

The twist-up sponge applicator gives me strong Y2K vibes and also makes it a breeze to dispense the product. I dabbed the shade Light all over my face with the applicator, then used my fingers to blend it out. Immediately, I noticed how luminous my skin looked. Because each shade is so sheer, they can work for a range of skin tones and self-adjust to flatter your complexion.

Even as someone with dry skin, I found this product a little too glowy for everyday wear on its own, so I set my T-zone with a translucent powder and was much happier with the finish. This is not a foundation; it’s a lightweight, radiant tint that will help you achieve a glass skin look. However, Maybelline also says you can use the Glow Perfector as a primer, so I tried layering a semi-matte foundation on top to see if the two products would gel. I loved the added coverage and the dewy finish I achieved by mixing the products, and will definitely be reaching for this product on no-makeup makeup days when I want to look super glowy or to add a more skin-like finish to a matte foundation.
