The New Maybelline Sky High Mascara Takes Lengthening to New Heights

I’ve lived by the two-mascara rule for years: I use one mascara to amp up volume and achieve fuller-looking, thicker lashes. And then I swoop in with a different, lengthening mascara to curl and lengthen. While the tactic works, I’m always on the hunt for a one-and-done product that’ll do double duty. Thankfully, it seems as though Maybelline New York has granted my wish because the brand just dropped a new mascara that claims to do it all. Meet the Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara, which promises length and volume from every angle.
The mascara, which is the newest addition to the Lash Sensational line, comes in a super-sleek pink tube that, if we do say so ourselves, is totally Instagram-able. But it’s not all about pretty packaging — the product itself is great, too. The formula, which contains natural bamboo fibers and extracts, feels lightweight when applied and doesn’t weigh down lashes.
The mascara wand also has an innovative design that makes clumps a problem of the past. It’s a flexible tower brush that has bristles to grip and extend every, individual lash. To apply, just place the wand at the root of your lash and wiggle side-to-side until you reach the tip. One layer will give insane volume and length from all angles, but feel free to layer on more if you want to play up the intensity.
Sky High comes in two-high impact shades (Very Black and Blackest Black) and is available in both washable and waterproof versions. It’s currently available on Maybelline.com for $11.49.
