Remember popsicle lips? It was the K-Beauty makeup trend in which you apply a brightly colored lipstick on the center of your lips to make them look effortlessly stained. Well, we pulled inspo from that soft, bitten lip look and created these glossy popsicle-inspired eyes. Made with a pink sherbet hue and subtle swirl designs, this eyeshadow makeup look is easy to create and adds a pretty pop of color that’s perfect for spring and summer. So brighten up your days by trying this glossy popsicle eye. Read on for a step-by-step tutorial with help from professional makeup artist Nikol Elaine.
  • STEP 1: Sketch Your Design

This eye look doesn’t require you to prime your eyes. Instead, go in using the Urban Decay Wired 24/7 Eyeliner in Amped to sketch your design. For this look, Elaine started by lining the lower lash line. Then, she lined the outer corner of the upper lash line, leaving the middle area bare. Next, she created a V-shape beginning at the inner corner of the eye and dragging it up the crease to the middle of the brow bone. Elaine says that it’s OK not to be super precise when sketching your lines because the gloss is going to go on top.

  • STEP 2: Press on Your Gloss

After you’ve created your lines on the eyelids, it’s time to apply a clear eye gloss. We recommend the CTZN Cosmetics Globalm in Clear for its lightweight and dewy finish. The best way to do this step without smudging your design is by pressing on the gloss in sections using a small, flat-tip eyeshadow brush.

  • STEP 3: Top It off With Mascara

Finish off the eyes by applying a couple of coats of your favorite mascara. We like the L’Oréal Paris Bambi Mascara for its ability to instantly volumize our lashes while giving a cute, doe-eyed effect.

  • STEP 4: Add a Bright Lip

This step is optional but we love it because it adds even more brightness to the entire look. Pair your glossy, sherbert-colored eyes with a summer-y lipstick shade to tie things together. If you need a recommendation, we love the NYX Professional Makeup Shout Loud Lipstick in Day Club, which is a beautiful, vibrant coral that reminds us of all things summertime.
