With summer quickly approaching, we’ve already started dreaming up the manis we’ll be rocking all season. And if the runways were any indication, this year you’ll be seeing lots of classic shades in more dimensional hues, like warm, vibrant reds and taupe hues with a hint of orange. The fresh twist on classics bodes well for the color-shy, but there’s something there for bold color lovers, too — like a hot pink hue that screams poolside in Miami and a holographic hue that’s anything but your typical neutral.

See our polish picks, ahead:

Essie Mind-full Meditation

One of our favorite shades from the recent Serene Slates collection, Mind-full Meditation is a dusky apricot beige with a slight pink-purple tint. It’s a great neutral for a solid mani and is an easy go-to no matter the occasion.

Essie Geranium
This award-winning color is a perennial favorite, thanks to its versatility and bold, punchy shade. Geranium (a bright red-orange) looks good on just about everyone and can be used all over or as an accent shade in a graphic nail-art manicure.

Essie Haute to Trot

Although millennial pink continues to be a topic of discussion, this season we predict bright pink will have its time to shine. Haute to Trot borders on hot pink without being too over-the-top and gives your mani a fresh, updated look.

Essie Wire-less is More

Holographic polish has been everywhere these days, but it can be a little intimidating to go full-on reflective chrome at first try. If you want to dip your toe in the color-shift water, we recommend Essie Wire-less is More, a rose quartz shade with a hint of shimmer.

Essie Sheer Luck

Sheer shades continue to dominate the runways and the ‘gram, and we’re all too happy to follow suit. Opt for a translucent polish like Essie Sheer Luck, which can be worn on its own or used as a base for appliques and chic, minimal designs.

Essie Pinkies Out

With Living Coral dubbed the color of 2019, it’s no surprise we’re incorporating the shade into our summer mani rotation. Try Pinkies Out for your coral needs; it’s a pearly apricot shade that feels elegant and a little playful.

Essie Walk The Hemline

Some shades work well year round and deserve a permanent spot on your list of favorites. Essie Walk the Hemline is one such color. The mocha polish is flattering on a wide range of skin tones and longwearing, making it an obvious choice for summer and beyond.
