Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Intensive Treatment

I’m toying with the idea of adding some blonde highlights to my brunette hair, and this new treatment from Redken is making me way less afraid of the damage that commonly comes along with bleaching. In fact, it sort of takes it out of the equation. The rinse-out pre-shampoo treatment is designed to strengthen weakened hair bonds (as a reminder: bonds can weaken or break during the coloring process!), therefore helping to prevent breakage. After testing it out, which involved letting it sit for only about 5-10 minutes on my wet hair, and then following up with a wash, I was truly shocked at how soft and smooth my hair felt.

Honest Beauty Fresh Flex Concealer

Concealer is a staple in my minimal makeup routine; I lean on it to cover up my chronic dark circles and the redness that takes up residence on my chin. While I appreciate highly pigmented formulas for the aforementioned reasons, I hate how heavy they can feel on my skin — especially in the summer. Honest’s new concealer launch is a pleasant surprise, though. It offers a medium buildable coverage that masks all my discoloration, creates a skin-like finish, is super easy to blend and feels totally weightless on my skin. I’m obsessed. To get the perfect color match, I mix Cream and Beige.

L’Oréal Paris Infallible 24H Fresh Wear Bronzer

I love a good glow all year around, but especially in the summertime. So, I’m always testing and trialing new bronzers when the temperature rises to see what formulas can withstand the heat (both literally and figuratively). This waterproof formula from L’Oréal Paris has become a favorite for this reason. It’s super buildable, adds instant glow and holds true all day, no matter what summer activity you’re up to.

Kosas Hotliner Hyaluronic Acid Contouring Lip Liner

Lip liners are my secret weapon when I want to create a fuller lip look. That’s why I was so pumped when Kosas recently dropped this contouring lip liner with hyaluronic acid. Not only does it allow you to define and fill in the lips, it also creates a real plumping effect, thanks to the HA. It comes in six warm shades that are perfect for any lip look I’m going for, whether it’s more neutral or bold.

Maybelline New York HyperEasy Liquid Liner in True Brown

I love a brown liquid liner, and this one is no exception. The inky formula glides across my lids with no tugging necessary, and the ultra-fine tip makes it easy to create crisp, controlled lines. Plus, one when it’s on, it’s on — while I haven’t tested the 24-hour wear claims, this liner has lasted me through long days of heat and humidity.

YSL Beauty NU Lip & Cheek Balmy Tint

My love for cream and liquid blushes has remained consistent throughout the year, and I’m still finding myself feeling excited when I discover great new formulas in the category. This one has a creamy, gel-like texture that blends into the skin with almost no effort required — it gives me a sheer, buildable tint with a glowy finish. I’ve also been enjoying it as a lip tint, so the versatility of this pick adds extra points in my book.

MAKE Beauty Heat Stroke Dewy Gel Cheek Tint

I enjoy cream blushes in stick form due to the ease of application, and while this one checks that box, it’s the formula that really makes it stand out. The thin, emollient texture glides onto the skin like butter and provides an incredibly luminous finish that actually lasts throughout the day. I also love that the colors have just the right amount of pigmentation — they’re not so bold that you’ll easily go overboard, but they offer just enough to make an impact on the cheeks.

Armani Beauty Lip Power Longwear Satin Lipstick

There’s something about finding the perfect nude for you, and Armani Beauty really got the memo with their new Lip Power shade extension. Recently, I’ve found myself reaching for one of the newest shades, 206 Cedar. It’s a beautiful cherry brown shade that is perfect for deeper skin tones looking for a brown nude shade. I’m a huge fan of the teardrop shape because it makes applying the color to my outer corners and Cupid’s bow super simple. This is definitely a color I’m going to be reaching for all summer long.

ONE/SIZE Ultimate Blurring Setting Powder

As someone with oily skin, I’m always on the hunt for a setting powder that’s going to keep my makeup in place while keeping my oil under control. This one from ONE/SIZE really took me by surprise. I found that it really gives a blurring effect that really reduces the look of my pores. As for keeping my oil under control, I feel like it does a good job of keeping things matte throughout the day, but I’m definitely excited to test things out a bit more throughout the summer.
