6 Winter Nail Art Ideas That Aren’t the Least Bit Cheesy

During the winter, there’s a surplus of holiday-inspired nail art ideas flying around our Insta and Tik Tok feeds. But even if you’re not the Christmas-trees-on-your-fingertips type, you can still take part in the nail art fun. Here, we rounded up five non-cheesy winter nail ideas, from seasonal-inspired gradient color schemes to chic sparkling star designs, ahead.

Green Linear and Negative Space

Forest green nail polish is refreshing for winter. Add a little linear and negative space nail art and you have yourself an understated winter mani.

Stars

Use nail stickers to achieve a holiday-spirited mani like this star look. It’s a step up from regular polish and has a little holiday flare without being over the top.

Gold Foil

With gold foil nails, you’ll be competing for attention as the most sparkly thing in the room, but in a totally chic way. We love how it’s paired here with a deep blue polish — the perfect winter color.

Gradients

Can’t pick just one color? Rock a different shade on each finger for a playful look. One tip: try to stick to similar undertones so your shade mixing and matching looks intentional.

French Tips

The OG French manicure has received quite the upgrade in 2020. Rather than opting for a traditional pink and white pairing, go for a gold tip. It has a tinsel vibe that makes your nails on point for the season, yet still chic and sophisticated.

Holographic Hues

If you don’t want to commit to a full-blown glitter polish or sequin embellishments, try choosing a holographic polish. While we love this purple hue, you can also go for a more muted, white opalescent shade like the Essie Twinkle in Time
