7 Last-Minute New Year’s Eve Beauty Looks

The New Year has a way of sneaking up on us. Maybe it’s because we spent the better half of winter preparing for the holidays with presents and decorating, and then all of a sudden — bam — we need to to come up with an entire New Year’s Eve beauty look in a matter of hours. To help you look your most glam self when you ring in the New Year, we rounded up the best New Year’s Eve makeup ideas.

Smoky Eye + A Whole Lot of Highlighter

Let your highlighter light up the room on New Year’s Eve. Pair a smoky eyeshadow look, like this festive green eye, with the brightest highlighter you own. To really punch up the radiance try mixing two highlighters together. We like the Maybelline New York Facestudio Master Strobing Stick paired with the NYX Professional Makeup High Glass Illuminating Powder

Metallic Eyelids + A Bold Lip

In a hurry? Liquid eyeshadow is the way to go. Simply swipe the prettiest metallic hue you can find across your eyelids and pair it with a bold berry or red lip. We love the L’Oréal Paris Brilliant Eyes Shimmer Liquid Eye Shadow.

Midnight Blue Eyeshadow + A Nude Lip

If you really want to turn heads with your makeup on New Years, try this midnight blue eyeshadow look. The bold, ultra dark eye makeup pairs well with a nude or pink lip, like the Maybelline New York Color Sensational Lipstick in Touchable Taupe.

Silvery Smoky Eye + A Nude Lip

It’s smoky eye season — let it be known with a silver sparkly eye for the holiday. One of our favorite smoky gray shadows is the Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow in Dark Cloud. Go big and apply fake lashes to complete the look, along with a nude lip.

Nude Eye + A Peach Lip

This is our kind of minimal makeup. Keep your New Year’s Eve holiday makeup look fresh and light with a nude eye and peachy lips. One of our favorite nude palettes is the Maybelline New York Eyestudio Nudes of New York Palette.

Radiant Skin + A Red Lip

You can’t go wrong with a statement lip, especially on New Year’s Eve. Keep your skin looking fresh and flawless and your eye makeup natural to let your red lip pop. We’re loving Lancôme L'Absolu Rouge Ruby Cream Lipstick in Bad Blood Ruby.

Golden Eyeshadow + A Glossy Lip

Go for the gold tonight. A smoky gold eyeshadow and glossy lip will complement any New Year’s Eve outfit you throw together. We love the NYX Professional Makeup Filler Instinct Plumping Polish in Let’s Glaze.
