I think we can all agree that the majority of 2020 has been lacking in the good vibes department. That’s why it came as no surprise when evil eye nails popped up all over Instagram. The eye emblem not only aims to ward off all the bad juju in the air (think: hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil), but it also looks pretty freakin’ cute as a manicure accent. In an effort to spread love, fight mercury’s retrograde and send positivity out into the world, we’re rounding up our favorite evil eye nail art inspo, ahead.

Starry Skies & Evil Eyes

If you check your horoscope on the reg and are always in-the-know about the planet's whereabouts, take a cue from this mani to help your stars align. The celestial blue polish, moon and star nail art and evil eye designs make this a super-chic mani that’s perfect for an astrology lover.

Eye See You

Pride month may have passed, but here at Makeup.com we’re always looking for ways to support the LGBTQ+ community — no matter the time of year. One idea we’re loving? This heart, rainbow and evil eye manicure masterpiece. The rainbow colors are perfect for summer, too.

Sleek as Can Be

If you’re in the mood for an art deco-inspired manicure, take note of this monochromatic look. Each nail has a different design, but the black polish and matte top coat keep the mani looking uniform and sleek. Don’t be intimidated to DIY this nail art, either — it’s actually pretty simple. Just make sure you have a dotting tool and thin brush on hand.

See No Evil

Can’t part with your classic summer pink or nude polish? No problem — you can still get in on the evil eye trend. Just create a half moon at the base of your cuticle and fill in the area with a white shade. Once everything has dried, carefully paint on the evil eye. Voilá, a perfect summer mani that will have the good vibes coming your way.

Metallic Mani

Keep things minimal by skipping the polish and adding a dainty evil eye and gold foil accent to each nail instead. While this manicure is all hand-painted, a nail sticker will work just as well and make things super easy.

Wink, Wink

Ward off evil and embrace good vibrations by sporting this sophisticated evil eye design. Not only are we obsessed with the navy and gold colors (so chic!), but the emphasis on the glittery eyelashes give the look a bit of personality.
