Thanks to social distancing, we’ve spent an excessive amount of time on social media these days — don’t judge. But sometime during our latest Instagram binge we learned a valuable lesson. Marble nails are officially back, more colorful than ever and most definitely on our DIY mani inspo board for spring. Getting the look at home is surprisingly easy, too. Just let your base coat dry, use a dotting tool to add your colors of choice and then go in with a detail brush to swirl it all around for a mesmerizing marble-like finish. Need some ideas? Lucky for you, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite looks that have graced the ’gram, ahead.

Mesmerizing Mani

Spring is here — and this nail art proves it. With purple, green, blue, yellow and pink, this manicure by Amy Rickaby is bright, cheery and giving us major Easter vibes. You could say we’re kind of, sort of, most definitely obsessed.

An Oceanside Mood

Manicurology, we would like you to know that we’ve been staring at this manicure for approximately 20 minutes and have no plans of stopping. This look is blended to perfection and has a watercolor mix of blues, whites and purples that has us dreaming of the beach.

Golden Hour

This turquoise manicure with gold accents is a serious work of art. If the bright base coat didn’t already have us sold, the golden swirls really made our marble dreams come true. Thank you, Gel Nails by Coco for creating this masterpiece. We’ll be attempting to recreate it, STAT.

Oh, So Classic

If you're typically a one-shade-and-done kind of girl, a brightly colored marble mani might seem a little too wild for your liking. Sound like you? Ease into the Instagram trend by starting out with a black and white swirly look that’s low-key but fashion-forward at the same time. Feeling adventurous? Add some metallic gold polish into the mix like Cat Delgado

Pastel Polish FTW

This watercolor-esque manicure from Claire Howard is perfect for spring. Not only is the color combo on point, but the sheer pattern is also oddly soothing. To DIY this look, we would start with a pastel pink or purple base coat and dot on our design with light-colored polishes.
