As we transition to a post-vaccine world, we’re finally able to start sporting those bold makeup looks that we’ve all been bookmarking over the last year or so. Think: both statement-making lips and eyes, piles of shimmer and loads of color. If you’re ready to break (or dare we say retire) your skinimalist routine for a maximalist makeover, we suggest you take notes from the looks blowing up our Instagram feeds below.

‘90s Supermodel Glam

Thick liner, look-at-me lashes, defined contour and a plump pout are what you need to pull this look off. The saying “less is more” doesn’t apply here, so go as over-the-top as you want. We suggest swiping on the Maybelline New York Quartz's Collection Lip Lifter Gloss infused with hyaluronic acid for fuller lips.

Highlight Outburst

Why limit your shine to just highlight when you can wear shimmery lids, luminous cheeks and sparkly lips in one look? There are no rules here — pile on the shine!

Splashes of Color

Color outside the line for a change. Let your eyeshadow expand outside of your lids — how far is up to you. Repeat with a contrasting color on your cheeks and top with lipstick that complements both hues.

Fiery Masterpiece

Take a walk on the wild side with this rouge masterpiece. The glitzy lips are a nice switch from typically glittery eyeshadow.

Soft Punk

Try this punk makeup featuring jewel tones if you’re new to the rocker aesthetic and want to ease your way in. You’ll still make a statement without looking like you came straight from a mosh pit.

Hot Chocolate

The saturated browns in this look are striking and remind us of a fall-favorite: hot chocolate. Don’t forget the unexpected pop of yellow!
